The 4wd NSW & ACT asked Keenstreet to re-develop their website. The
new site needed to be uncluttered, easy to navigate and allow secure access
for members of 4 wheel drive clubs throughout NSW and the ACT.
The site required an extensive admin area that allowed the association to
manage a large amount of information, such as:
- Club and Member management
- Email lists
- Approval of news and gallery items prior to becoming web visible
- Editing ability of pages in the Public and Member areas
- Additional secure area and admin area for the Driver Training Unit
- Maintaining and entering FAQs
- Adding/Suspending/Deleting Clubs
- Upload images for insertion within the text on a page
- Resize and compress uploaded Gallery images
The site was developed as part of our user-friendly
web updating system using:
- PHP
- MySQL Database
- CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
- Dreamweaver and Notepad
- Hand coded and coded in Dreamweaver
The original site was developed in an 'off the shelf' open source CMS.
Although it could do many things, most weren't what was required and the
CMS couldn't fulfill the associations requirements.
